January 2016 Meeting

How SharePoint Can be Used In Your Organization

Topic Details

Happy 2016! As with most people and organizations, the beginning of a new year is a great time to re-establish foundations and routines. This January's meeting will be focused on SharePoint 101 and helping to establishing a solid base of information that will be built on throughout the rest of this year. Topics will include but not limited to:

 • SharePoint Terminology & Structure
 • What is Metadata and How to Use
 • SharePoint Content Types
 • Moving Away from Folders and Into Views
 • SharePoint Pages
 • Permissions!
 • Recycling Bin
 • Alerts
 • Web Parts/App Parts
 • Much, much more!!

Throughout the meeting, members will be asked to participate in smaller groups. This is an excellent way for teams to work together and apply what has been learned throughout the session. We will have SharePoint Mentor/Advisors available to work with the groups throughout the meeting. It may be helpful to forward the newsletter information onto anyone else within your organization that may benefit from information.
