Performance Troubleshooting with SharePoint Online and Office 365

In the last several years, the growth in popularity and compelling value of Office 365 have resulted in many organizations adopting SharePoint Online rather building an on-premises implementation. SharePoint Online is maintained by Microsoft and designed for scalability and growth, but that doesn’t mean that customers always have it easy. Service outages, misunderstandings about the underlying platform, and plain old bad luck can sometimes turn smooth sailing into an extremely choppy ride. In this session, we’ll take a look at how SharePoint Online is implemented and how it differs from a typical on-premises implementation. We’ll explore hands-on troubleshooting techniques that are available for diagnosing common SharePoint Online problems, and we’ll demonstrate some solutions that can be applied. We’ll also spend a little time investigating some common Office 365 issues that have an effect on SharePoint performance – and what can be done about those issues. At the conclusion of this session, participants will have a greater understanding of SharePoint Online, how to troubleshoot it, and what can be done to steer clear of trouble in their own tenants.
