Title

November 2013 MNSPUG

Topic

Client-Side Rending for a Improved User Experience

Topic Details

For the November MNSPUG meeting we are talking a walk on the developer side. Client-side rendering is a new capability available in SharePoint 2013. CSR is used to modify the rendering or display of various items using JavaScript. We can use CSR to customize list views, forms, and search results. During this session, we’ll look at some of the fundamentals of CSR and how to create some basic customizations. Then, we’ll see how to use this technique both on and off-premises. Finally, we will look at how to incorporate a JavaScript template engine to create robust item templates. This is a great session for not only developers but also anybody else that wants to be able to get the most out of their SharePoint 2013 environment.
