Title

August 2013 MNSPUG

Topic

Understanding Business Intelligence in the Microsoft Platform

Topic Details

The goal of this session is for the attendee to understand Microsoft's value proposition for Business Intelligence in the enterprise as it pertains to SharePoint, SQL Server and Office. Microsoft has been working in BI since the early days of Excel with pivot tables, and fast forward to today we are working on geospatial data mapping, in-memory databases, semantic models and rich visualization tools that reach across standard operational reporting through big data and highly scalable data warehouses. SharePoint, SQL Server and Office are core to the value proposition, and this session will help the attendee understand the role of each and how it may affect their solutions for their employers.
Join Microsoft's PJ Johnson for what will be a highly informative session!

Vendor Sponsored Lunch

Immediately following the MNSPUG, we will be having another Lunch and Learn! Axceler will be talking about their solutions for SharePoint. There is a separate registration button for this, so please make sure to register for that well!
Do you think you know everything there is to know about SharePoint? Are you ready to be challenged on your knowledge of the social features in SharePoint? Or how about SharePoint 2013 and O365? Or maybe you think you'd nail a "Potpourri" or "Clue Crew" category about SharePoint?
If you're interested in testing your knowledge and learning more about SharePoint, join Axceler for a round of SharePoint Jeopardy!
